Chanel

Chanel is one of the most luxurious fashion houses of the whole world which was established by Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel known asCocoChanel (a nickname chosen by Chanel as a singer for her at the young age). After a short period of time, her exclusive and topmost taste in fashion presented Chanel as a princess to the Fashion World.  Elegance, simplicity and accuracy used in the designs of Coco’s outfits, jewelries and accessories swiftly substituted glamorous clothes of the late 19th century for her style.

In the 20s, plain and straight lines of capes which were fully contrary to the patterned clothing of the late 19th century, usage of manly colors like  blue-gray and navy-blue and finally Chanel suits ( Two or three-pieces coats)which enabled the women to participate in post-war social developments shoulder to shoulder with the men could display female strength and courage very well.

In order to complement the bold appearances of the designs, in 1921, Chanel introduced long-lasting No.5 fragrance in cooperation with a famous perfume maker “Ernest Beaux” to the world. After producing the fragrance and taking the total market of the Europe, Chanel founded Parfums Chanel with the help of an investor “Pierre Wertheimer” in order to conquer North America Market. Although the partnership was accompanied by a number of disputes and problems among Chanel and Wertheimer regarding shares percentage, it gave Coco such a power to defeat the world and offer the most modern and newest issues in the Fashion World till the end of his life when he passed away at the age of 87 on 10 January 1971.

After his death, Alain Wertheimer, Pierre’s grandchild who assumed control of Chanel from 1974 hired Karl Lagerfeld, one of Fashion Designing geniuses and the name of Chanel by then relying on valuable legacy of Chanel and exploiting specialgenius of Karl Lagerfeld as the Heart of the Fashion World offered the most luxurious and beautiful products including valuable haute couture and ready-to-wear outfits, fragrances and luxurious products such as glasses, watches and jewelry by pursuing Coco Chanel’s point of view which are all simple, stylish, gracefulandelegant
